The
Mexican Estate Hacienda was originally not only
the family home for Spanish Nobles but also a
workplace, a place of leisure and of religion—in
short, a closed and self-sufficient rural world
in which the landowners held authority over
every facet of daily life of the workers engaged
in agricultural and/or livestock production.
This
quintessential remnant of this Period of
Hacendados (land owners) is presently being
restored to its grandeur under the leadership of
Architecto Roberto Burillo, a resident of San
Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato. |
