Haciendas de Mexico and Ranchos are survivors of historic fate that began with the arrival of the explorer Spaniards in 1524 to what became known then as New Spain and  developed as personal empires until the Revolution of 1910 and the promulgation of the Constitution of 1917 with all the agrarian laws which initiated the partition of all the great landholdings. Each of these remaining icons possesses its own special historic relationship to the Land, the People -their social life and their politics- and the Spirit of Mexico.
